Yep, in Norn Iron as they say, “Grannies know best”. So, when a 10 year old boy watches his Granny making ginger wine, it leaves a lasting impression.
This is the story of the Belfast brewed and bottled “Longbridge Ginger Ale.” Traditionally Brewed in Co. Down, distributed in Counties, Armagh, Derry/L’Derry, Down and Fermanagh. Longbridge Ginger Ale is the link back to ye olde days whereby brown lemonade, raspberry and rose and good old ginger ale was a taste Belfast people remember.
Of course, nowadays we drink it in our craft Gins and Dark n’ Stormy Rum infused cocktails, which is a far cry from making it in milk bottles as a lad! But, the taste, well! On its own, as a mixer, whatever your preference is. It tastes, smells and takes you back to connect with your friends and loved ones. Sipping over a drink, telling stories and having some craic.
